Description
777 Vadu Mango Pickle, or maavadu, is the South Indian summer classic made from tiny, tender baby mangoes. The whole vadu mangai are cured in a spiced brine of rock salt, mustard and red chilli, so they stay crisp while soaking up every bit of tang and heat.
This is the pickle that belongs beside a bowl of curd rice. A few mangoes and a spoon of the tangy brine turn a plain meal into something that tastes of home.
